The first thought chapter in writing down the bones was a very inspirational chapter to me. The idea of stream of conscious writing has always been a source of intrigue to me and the way that it is discussed in this chapter really paints it in a light not of a meaningless excersise but in a tool used for meaningful writing.
The discussion of an egoless thought being developed in a raw manner that forces a writer to tap purely into a prompt without waiting or worrying is entirely fascinating to me. I have often been trapped by various concerns when expressing a point that the original emotion fueling why I want to communicate that point is lost amongst the worry.
Another reason I enjoyed this chapter is because in my own spoken word endeavors I have recently been wanting to dive into a more "freestyle" approach to slam poetry and using this chapter as a tool to cultivate raw emotions and raw responses can help me formulate ideas using my writing style immediately rather than trying to fit an idea to that style over time.
good responses here, maybe expand a bit, say more
